I said I'll judge him on his fights (or words to that effect) I thought that would signify that I haven't made my mind up at all - but obviously it didn't I don't really care if he's arrogant, bashful, dopey, sleepy or flipping grumpy, his personality and what he has to say means nothing to me For what it's worth I wish him well and will support him - like I do all British boxers. My point is that I won't love or hate him based on his 'personality'
Im going to leave it a while before I jump on the hate train. The main problem I see is not his cockiness, you can be as cocky as you want if you back it up in my mind, but it is style than concerns me. He has a style which is fine for Am boxing, but in the pro game if you want fans to part with their hard earned cash you got to give them something, that tap and run tactic wears thin. Adapting to the pro style is becoming harder than ever thank to the ridiculous way Am boxing in run and scored. The sooner they change it the better.
Argh, Degayle is trying to gain attention for himself, adding the same characteristics like a naseem hamed etc.
not many amateurs blast u out. i reckon he'll be a respectable puncher in the pro's meself. :bbb he doesn't look like a total pea shooter. :nono
but he's not a complete hit and run merchant. he can stand his ground and box with u to. he changes it up and that's one of the things i like about him. :bbb
It is his mouth that pisses me off. He has already accused George Groves of trying to make a living off his back - arrogant ****.
i like degale in boxing you have to talk a bit of **** to get youself known thats just the way it is i think he will do real well in the pros and if he doesnt he still goes home with a shed full of cash good luck i say
The same man who gave up an easy (well easier) life as a footballer to turn to boxing...... Well mate - I personally think you are mad but all credit to ya :good
