Which is why this should be seen as a good thing and not a reason to dig at the kid. Shirley?

He won't exactly be fighting 'bums' will he? Young fighters nowadays are too inactive, doesn't matter if he's British champion...he needs to keep busy.

:yep I think they both realise it's better for their development.

Billy Joe Saunders should be keeping very busy this year.

im looking forward to seeing degale but one 12 round fight for the price of a ticket doesnt seem the best value for money though it would have been difficult to arrange another title fight at short notice

I was thinking Warren should do this anyway... you don't want to keep a fighter with only nine bouts too long without staying active. Hope Gavin stays more active this aswell thinking about it. He only fought three times last year. Not good enough really.

    Degale would take alvarez apart.

Alvarez is nothing special, not that fast, poor movement, not paricularly skilled, not much defence.

Just reasonable heavy hands, and fairly decent offence, He will be exposed by a skilled fighter, or even an iron jawed slugger.

Anyways, I wonder who James will fight, maybe another brit.
