wonder if the fights will get shown. Cannot see Smith vs Quigley or Jennings vs Brook ending to quick.

The guy he faced in his second fight would have struggled with my 18 month old nephew.

    He was absolutely awful.

    Yeah, of course it was.

Regardless, you would expect a better opponent for a prospect as hyped as DeGale is - I get on Khan's case a fair bit, but his opposition in his first five fights was the sort you ought to be going up against.

In Khans first 3 fights his opponents had only won 15% of there fights. DeGales had won 55%........

Healy was a decent opponent for his 3rd fight. He faced better oppo than Sutherland and Jeffries had faced.

Records aren't that important when assessing the quality of opposition early in a guy's career.

Healy wasn't a bad opponent, probably better than Steve Gethin, who Khan faced in his 3rd fight.

Baz Carey was way better than that French joker, I'd back the Baz of today to beat him despite giving away nearly two stone in weight - he was ****ing shite.

(I think he was French anyway)

    french joker?

so far DeGale has fought a guy who went 4 rounds with sutherland, a guy who was undefeated (i know i know) and healy. i think thats pretty good and certainly better than what Gavin and Saunders have faced. also both have been coming in well above the weight they should be fighting at.

I agree with you on Saunders certainly, Gavin less so.

IMO they should all be pushed now into 8 rounders rather than having to beat every joke opponent on the circuit.

I'm just hoping they dont drop one of the above fights so that they can show the olympians ala Khan/Kotelnik PPV.

Can't wait to go to this one.
