I'm a big degale fan, but i'm getting a little fed up now tbh. Him continually telling everyone it was a 'contriversial loss' and that 'people keep telling me i'm wrong' is geting boring. It was a close fight, that is all. Him saying that if he beats the Pole, 'Groves cant keep running' is just laughable considering he was just outboxed by Groves. He seriously needs to get his head in check. He is a talanted guy, and i still honestly believe he will win a world title whereas groves will struggle, but he needs to get over it. Admit you lost ffs, and learn from your mistakes. It'll make him a better boxer in the long run
This is why I'm sure he won't amount to very much. Groves is younger and has shown a willingness to improve, DeGale thinks he's got it all sorted. I still don't see the talent. He's got fast hands and that appears it. Terrible punching form, appalling footwork...
spot on. he really had learned nothing from the Groves defeat. what he needs is a new trainer. reckon we see him with Tibbs before the year is out.
In the Smith fight he looked like he *****-slapped his opponent into submission, at least Calzaghe had an excuse later on in his career but Degale doesn't appear to know how to throw a straight punch, his technique is appalling.
Like I say, I had James Degale winning the fight by a couple of rounds. I think he'd most likely win even more emphatically in a rematch. I hope it happens sooner rather than later. Also, had Groves come out on the wrong end of that decision, he'd be equally as bitter about it as James Degale appears to be now. I try not to hold it against fighters when they find it difficult to accept defeat, especially in a fight that could have conceivably been scored either way.
He's said after this fight, he'd like to give Kenny Anderson a shot in December, saying Groves is avoiding him and Anderson deserves a shot. Is that a progressive fight for DeGale? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUuPj6P6zQ4[/ame]
