I believe as amateur's Groves beat Degale, But Degale got through to the Olympics and won gold. Degale wan't to avenge his defeat & Groves wants the lime light Degale has now. I like Degale, think he was a bit 'slappy' on weekend, but looked good and took a few solid shots well. Will def get tickets if they do fight eachother.
Discussing his credentials as a world boxer, dip****. Chill the **** out or go have a beer and take that pent-up anger out on your boyfriend.
call me a cocksucker your ****ing *****!!!!! just dont read it if you dont like it. its a general boxing post. i mentioned ward!!! oh yeah i forgot..... **** sucker!!!!!!!
Ive been a fan of Degale since his 4th/5th fight, he has too many haters and that pissed me off. He is a special fighter who will win World Titles
DeGale and Groves boxed out of the same gym in Hammersmith in the amateurs I believe, Groves beat DeGale twice in the amateurs, and is bitter about DeGale getting the Olympic call whilst he was left out in the cold.
think groves might get to him cleanly, and groves has power aswell as good skills, and has a good gameplan for fights. Both could possibly become future champs despite who wins.
Mark my words - Groves will beat him just as he did in the amateurs. Everyone is now writing him off after his last 'performance' compared to Degales. The heart and bravery Groves shown in a fight, which he also took along at 2-3 weeks notice as his expected opponent pulled out meaning he had to extend his training camp and therefore over train. Plus the fact he was facing a very tough unbeaten prospect in Kenny (props to him as well as he also stepped in at short notice). It's better for Groves to have had a fight like that now instead of padding out his record, building all the hype only to end up on his back when he eventually steps up because he hasn't progressed correctly. He will have learned so much. I honestly believe Groves will shut that gobby ***** Degale up if the fight gets made which it not hopefully will as Groves has put himself in the position of being mandatory.
Groves has too many flaws. Offensively he's got the tools but so has DeGale, who's far more suited to the professional ranks. He paces himself and controls the fight far better. Groves expands too much energy with his constant movement and he's got major holes in his defence. His stance is far too wide for starters and I find him to be a bit square on. DeGale is far sounder defensively and looks far more seasoned at this point. As I said, I believe he can dictate the tempo and pace of a fight better which is why he'd always beat Groves in the pro ranks for me if they are to fight anytime soon. He's just as sharp offensively, I really don't see what Groves has that DeGale hasn't. Apart from ginger hair, but that's not really an attribute if I'm honest.
I agree that Groves does have defensive flaws which he needs to tighten up on, but I honestly believe that he would pull it off against Degale. Groves' jab is a big time weapon and if he can get it pumping against Degale I feel he would take him into deep water.
Sounds like a plan. I can't imagine Groves' promoters are in a huge rush to get him in there with DeGale anymore though. I imagine Groves would get smashed up pretty good. I mean, I like Groves and all, but he's always been a couple classes below DeGale and probably always will be. I can see Groves still possibly winning a title someday, but he'll be a lot closer to Stieglitz than Froch methinks.
Impressed the hell out of me. The guy is rapid when he lets his hands go, and he very rarely takes clean shots either. ...I expect him to go far above Euro level.
