"We weren’t asking him to sign his life away" - the fact he feels the need to say this raises eyebrows.

Groves is like his promoter, alot of talk but interested in safety first, good money fights. You can tell he is part of Hayemaker now. What has happened I do not know.

Groves has now stopped 2 major bouts from happening. Makes you wonder doesn't it.

Groves would put a beating on Degale.

I think Groves has had the much better learning fights then Degale so far and got the rounds in,but the Smith fight could change everything and i`m impressed that Degale has taken it on.I do think some people are getting carried away with the Dilks fight, sure Degale looked good but Dilks completly froze on the night.

Dilks was beyond poor indeed but Chunky made him look like an absolute tool. Coming out with talk about being ducked and then he gets a short hiding for his troubles.

Degale is the one ducking groves IMO frank warren was putting on a front offering 50k then when booth offer alot more warren was nowhere to be seen! both are very talented but i think groves is that bit better.

short indeed. dilks may have been in the process of being outclassed but was not in any particular trouble as far as i could see. the ref didn't do degale any favours there as he's now being thrown in with smith having completed not very many rounds.

the booth offer was in turn one they knew would not be accepted though as it was a deal to fight on a hayemaker card and we know frank wanted degale for his december 11th show and we also know frank was not gonna let one of his stars fight on a rivals card ,after all he is the biggest promoter in britain

Both promoters were well aware they were making offers that would not be accepted by the other guy. Its just part of stirring the pot for the rivalry.

Lets just hope they fight eventually, instead of just circling each other for a few years while they both try to get to world level.

My money is on DeGale if/when it happens
