James Degale popularity in UK

    What do people think of James Degale these days? I wasn't sold on him at first, I thought he was a ****y moron who irritated me every time he spoke, when he fought Groves I was well behind Groves in the fight.

    In the last couple of years tho he has won me over, he seems to have matured a lot as a person & proved himself to be one of the top fighters in his division. Do you think he could sell out big arena's in the UK?

    Well he's already done big numbers with Groves, no reason why he can't do that again.

    Not that I sift through social medias that much.. but I'd imagine James Degale was hugely popular..? Gold medal in a high weight class and all that..

    If he was a big ticket seller he would of had a big "homecoming" fight after winning his world title.

    No, fair play to him on what he has achieved but his popularity in the UK is tiny

    He's not liked and never will be.

    He's making good money fighting in the States and I can't see him coming back any time soon.

    I think he's one of the best champions we have, I like his style, rangy southpaw, I'm a fan.
