He doesn't have to paddy, but If he wants to enhance his legacy he needs to take these kinds of fights. Anyone from 154-175 was said, he needs to keep his word and fight these guys calling his name OR call their BLUFF. I mean if DeGale happens to beat Jack and become the man at 168, which fight besides Canelo will offer him a pretty good payday?
DeGale is a great fight that I would love to see happen. I'm pulling for DeGale to beat Jack. While we're talking about the SMW division what do you think about Zurdo? PEople keep talking about him as potential Golovkin opponent but I haven't seen much of him at all.
Zurdo is a big dude and had a good performance against Abraham but he's still inexperienced. He needs to take a couple of other fights perhaps against some fringe contenders like Groves, or Medina, Dirrell or even Masternak for example, Maybe even chavez if the Canelo fight falls through To Better His Skills And Enhance His confidence. But he's willing to fight the top guys, and he holds a belt so we may end up seeing him unifying pretty soon. But he's pretty good though.
I was half just trying to wind the OP man, I've no problem with these guys staying at a comfortable weight and just bossing their respective weights if they wish to do so. Aside from Canelo seeing as he can now do 165!
While weight jumper is very common these days. I respect fighters who dominated his natural weight class, and when the dust is clear try to achieve more at a higher weight. Example: SRR dominated welter weight for over a hundred fights, went up to try to do the same at middleweight and lightheavies. Duran finished off his business at lightweight, went up to compete up to supermiddle weight. The same can be said for Tito Trinidad, Hopkins and Michael Spinks. The argument that hagler never move up but consider great, so GGG can follow the pattern is only half correct. If hagler would have move up and ply his trade at supermiddle or lightheavy, his legacy would have been greater. GGG is already borderline HOF, the writing is of course not over yet, it is only reasonable that some expect him to move up for better challenges. Well, I certainly do. With the p4p talent he possessed, he should be hold at a higher standard to produce result, so far he hasn't quite achieve that.
Canelo seeking a Chavez fight is strictly about money and bragging rights... Hell fight GGG at 160 no doubt.
Oh no doubt and that'll make an obscene amount of money too. It has the potential to be a really exciting fight too if Chavez Jr can bother getting in shape
I disagree. GGG'S best wins are Lemieux, Macklin, Murray, and WW Brook. If he were to beat Jacobs, Canelo and move up and beat the top guys at 168 or even 175 then I'd agree he's a future HOF'er... as of right now his resume is lacking a big name or star fighter, and based off of that I cannot and will not say he's borderline HOF...
Oh for your momma sake, I did say borderline not a first ballot guarantee. But that is your opinion and I'm not necessary disagree, although I'm not too sure about the other hardcore GGG fans. I am guessing if he is to quit right now, his name might be appear on the ballot 5 years from now based on his number of defenses.
Rigo is the exception to the rule for the GGG haters. Golovkin despite making 160 easily is expected to move to 168 or 175 yet when Lomachenko called Rigo out he didn't have to move up despite him having literally no options at SB.
Ha3x rigo is an after thought. Nobody demands him because beside some purist, nobody really care. GGG however, is rightly put on the spot because he is way more well known. Look at it this way, the more famous you are the more fans and detractor you will get.
Cmon OB, let's be objective here. When you say anyone from 154-175 that means you're open to fights in those divisions, so his critism is legit.. If he or his team never said that, there would be nothing to really critisize... BUT......
