Look forward to seeing him on Saturday, I think he's right on how he changed his style. He didn't need to but he was bothered by the Belfast booing IIRC, He should of done what others had done and just got on with his work. Fair play to him wanting to please fans but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do and put self first.

Decent article, typical DeGale always gotta something silly .

Yep, I think the Groves loss affected him in the next fight he looked to be thinking what guard to use and seemed to be a bit hesitent but then again the Pole has shown he's a decent operator in the AA fight.

DeGale's problem is he wants to be to many fighters, when he should just be himself. One minute he's shoulder rolling then he's using a Holyfield Cross-Arm. Maybe tries to be a perfectionist and that causes problems..

I think he needs to leave Jim, Sadly they are very close and that's what will hold him back IMO.

I think Groves would win the 3rd rematch he's a better boxer, he lost fair and square to Groves in that fight and he moaned like a *****. I think Degale fought well against Piotr Wilczewski, the pol is a good boxer a fringe contender. I just think Degale isnt as good as he thinks he is and at the end of the day Groves will end up with the better resume...

If he left Jim it would do him the world of good, I always thought Jim as a fitness trainer more than a tactical one, I think James needs to be told some home truths and learn from them, I don't think McDonnell is strong enough to be that man,?

No way cos James is his big name, he can't afford to lose him. James is a dedicated trainer but also tries to over do things from what i hear. Needs a good old firm mentor. Someone who's been to the top and seen what it takes. This journey can't afford to have Jim on it anymore...

DeGale has a chip on his shoulder but if it fuels him to work harder and fight the best then I'm okay with that.

The Groves fight was close, I had it for DeGale. I can see his anger in losing a MD to a guy who didn't engage and then said no to the rematch.

I always thought he should have went to Tibbs, I think he could have moulded Degale's style better and adapt his style to suit the pro game, McDonnell was always a strange choice.

He's a twat. I don't mind arrogance if it's from someone who has talent, but he's very average.

I think James went with him due to him being a good conditioner and motivator but i think James also felt he could put his views on Jim and Jim would agree. Yes man....

James went around country doing sessions, so he had a taste of many trainers work.

Kid's talented, Frustrating talent really but talent is really on say 10-20% of the sport the rest is about mentality and desire to get better.

I'd love James and any young man to listen to this.
