It was a very close fight, and really you could score it either way by a round or have a draw. But for anyone to cry robbery is just pathetic - just as bad as the "Chunky threw it away" or "the best of Groves barely beat the worst of DeGale" rubbish.

Close fights happen. Both guys have a tendency to cancel each other out. Both can have success in the future, but need to forge their own paths.

The 2nd paragraph is prob the least critical I've ever read you be of Degale. I think you must be secretly warming to him.

Haha - no, I can't stand him. But I've never disputed his good qualities, however few there are. :blurp

He's got some grit in the ring, can put punches together well, and can easily get much better with a better trainer. He's still a ***** though.

Groves rallied really well at the end of the 12th round

At the end of the day a close debatable decision shouldn't of been the difference between De Gale winning or losing to Groves if he's as good as he said he was. De Gale should be asking himself why the fight was so close not whether he won or lost. He told us Groves would be gone in 4 rounds, so he's either not as good as he thinks he is(deluded), or Groves is just better than him. I mean he has beat him twice. Sooner or late you gotta start asking whether that's a coincidence.

You let someone dictate the tempo and your asking for trouble. Judges can be swayed by this kind of thing. Even when your not being that effective, it can APPEAR that you are. Montell Griffin basically beat James Toney because Toney allowed him to dictate the tempo. Jermain Taylor is a fighter that seemed to have a knack of dictating the tempo. He did it twice against Hopkins, and I think I remember hearing he was infront against Pavlik before Pavlik came back and knocked him out.

Degale didnt have a hope in hell of stopping groves in four in fact i think groves has the much better punching power.
