James Frederick DeGale MBE is a 30 year old 6'0.5 Super Middleweight with a 202-1 14 KO's record. Born in Hammersmith, London, United Kingdom, and currently living in Harlesden, London. He's a Gold Medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, initially signed by Frank Warran but he has since gone on to become yet another in the scary talented roster of Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Sports. The world better take notice of this switch hitting Southpaw because he could become the Super Middleweight Division's next Boogeyman when Froch retires(I still think he loses to Carl), and I have no idea what Ward is doing, he may already be retired. Gevorg Khatchikian was undefeated he KO'd him, talented American Brandon Gonzalez who should have got the nod over Oosthuizen(draw) was undefeated, DeGale KO'd him, Periban while it was a given that he would most likely be outboxed by DeGale, he's very durable and has a good chin, but as I predicted DeGale KO'd him for the first time in his career, and that's just this year. Paul Smith who had a razor thin fight with Arthur Abraham, was KO'd and had his 0 taken by DeGale, and the reality is Groves pre Froch 1 had what should have been a draw against him as well. These are some damn good wins for a guy who's barely on many Americans radar. I wouldn't necessarily call him a prospect but in light of the fact that 2015 could be a potential breakout year for Chunky (because he was a fat kid), so for the unacquainted amongst you, get acquainted with Degale, James DeGale.:toney:toney:toney:toney

He was with Hennessey before Hearn.

Good fighter though, has really improved since he got a proper promoter and is fighting regularly. Some big fights out there, Froch, Groves, Dirrel bros, he could beat any of them on his day.

Yeah hes a great fighter and has a Gold Medal. George Groves has already beat him no big deal.

Third time around Groves will put Froch to sleep. Some how Froch keeps knocking Groves out and I cant figure it out? I know Groves has better boxing skills, speed, power etc than Froch.

Degale really is ****. No charm, no intelligence and he always looks like he doesn't really fancy it. Put him under pressure and he'll look for a way out.:deal

Well i guess KTFO8 settled that. We don't need to see another fight, Groves looked very rusty in his last two fights.

I agree he's under rated. He reminds me of Calzaghe who was under rated for a long time. Both British, SMW, southpaws, quick, awkward, decent chins, not the most attractive fighting and punching styles but surprisingly effective, both had some injury problems and times in their careers where they were fighting unglamorous fights. I wonder if he can be another sleeper...

Blasting out Gonzales and Periban in the fashion he did, neither of whom had ever been stopped before, was very impressive. He's going to be a real force at 168 if he can maintain that kind of form.
