degale has every shot in the book, he's fast, sharp, very skillfull, and like mayweather doesn't have huge power. his ability to box from range using his expert jab and good legnth along with his switch hitting, great body work and ring smarts make me think he has the kind of talent floyed mayweather posseses. his most dangerous shots are: his check left hook: check the shot leading to the smith ko. his uppercut with either hand: he can land this from distance, on the inside going backwards or forwards and he can switch hit with it aswell. his jab: uses it intellegently as a range finder but also as a leathal weapon. the switch right hook: my favourite shot!, when he's in the pocket he shifts his body weight and flings an accurate right hook stunning his apponants. putting his shots together: his biggest asset is his ability to string a selection of accurate shots together. he's very fast for the weight and can throw blistering combo's but also he works powerfull 123 combos with great variety and good power. degale's potential is all about his variety, he can mix it up so well its hard to see anyone even at this early stage realy dominating him. it may be too early for andre ward but even that fight degale could keep him at range, box him for 12 rounds, it would be a close fight.
damn right! knowone will out box the chunk, only fighter that can match him on the outside is andre dirrell, now that would be a great fight in 2012!
How does he throw a 1-2-3 combo "with great variety?" A 1-2-3 is a jab, right hand, left hook. You throw it to the body, you throw it to the head, or you work it up and down. Not a lot of variety invlolved.
I was just messing with the TS in my other post. But yes, I agree with you. There are also a couple guys around who will turn a jab into a left hook at the last instant, and the 1-2-3 becomes a 3-2-3.
