DeGale in a close fight. not close because they are of similar talent but close because DeGale takes 2 minutes off every round he always does.

I was supporting bute all week until I was degale vs medina and said "bute performance wasnt as good as degale just isnt that great"

in I think it was the 8th round bute landed 8 clean uppercuts to the head and none even hurt jack. Bute's confidence is back (kind of) but his power looks gone.

Though really, there are only a handful of fighters who you could say are truly elite.

They are delusionnal if they think they will fill stadiums for their unification fights in my opinion. They are really not that exiting to watch. I Degale get the UD.

I think it'd be a close fight with a lot of posturing and little action that DeGale wins by doing just a little more.

I really don't know why people say Degale is elusive. He gets tagged often in every fight he has he just had a very good chin. I know he talks about his defensive capabilities like he's some super middleweight Mayweather but it simply isn't true.

When Porky marks you up like he did, you really need to start considering the art of defence.

I agree. While DeGale does move better than Bute, he's not really what I'd call a good mover or that elusive. He has a very wide stance which limits his movement and he prefers to stay in range in front of opponents, catching shots on arms and shoulders. His defence is to block and parry not to slip and slide away.

I still favour DeGale in a close fight. He's just a little bit better, better upper body movement and defence, his wide shots will go around Jack's high guard and even if Jack is more aggressive of the 2, DeGale's side stance will prevent Jack from being too effective in close.

Jack was too passive against Bute, he needs to go back to a more aggressive style like he did against Groves. If he can force the pace, he will give DeGale problems.

I think the last 3 to 4 rounds are key in this fight.
The guy that fades the least will take it I believe, if the judges are on the level at least.
