yeah its more of an ego trip, Groves holds slight bragging rights which DeGale can trump with the gold medal.

Can't wait for this fight. so Glad it's at the o2 Arena aswell. Free Ringside seats are a nice perk when your GF is PA to the CEO of o2 :D

Anyway, As much as i can't wait, i can't see this fight happening yet. Do you reckon the bookies would take a bet on Booth pulling Groves out claiming an "injury"? I'd honestly put £20 on that.

My money would be on Degale by decision though.

Groves held his own with Froch, even though Carl put him on his arse. It teaches you things, which is the whole point of sparring.

Dirrell brings speed, power and technique that Degale doesn’t have. He’s also a significantly better fighter than Degale and more gifted physically (even if he is a cry-baby fraud). If Groves can get used to fighting a much faster and trickier opponent than Degale, then he’s going to have a huge advantage.

Degale is getting so overrated it’s painful. I see him as the favourite in this fight, but I really think George can do it.

i think Dirrel would be good as dftaylor said its will be great experience for getting used to the speed also it should also help him in cutting off the ring and restricitng Degale's movement when on the frontfoot.

I dont like the way DG talks smack and seems like the bully many people would love to see sparked out cold!!!!
However I just dont think Groves is quick enough, smart enough or experienced enough to come even close to it.
It could be a great battle but I think DG will be just too good for Groves in all departments.

Good move, Rob. Was actually hoping someone would do one on either this or Haye/Klitschko.

    Best of luck :good

Got to remember Froch/Groves is man against boy. Groves is a young kid. 22 years of age. He hasn't got his strength yet. Froch was a weedy kid one day as well, check back and see. Not surprised at all if he got dropped.

I can imagine sparring Froch is pretty intense as well, no half measures
