I really don't see that he beat Degale in the amateurs. I know that was the decision, but if you watch the fight it seems debatable to say the least. If Groves wins though, that would be all the proof we need he has progressed a lot.
it had to happen now but what he's saying is it would have generated more money in a couple of years time. it would generate more money as a european level fight even world level if they both could have made it that far
Groves hasn't talked any trash really, he's been quite honourable about the whole thing, the shitstorm's all coming from DeGale...
I agree DeGale has been the noisier and more offensive. I'm a fan of the guy but his appearance on Ringside made me cringe a little. Groves has still been talking trash by normal standards though "He won't be able to sleep at night cos he knows I've got hios number" and talking about DeGales "Stupid long face" (which I thought was pretty funny). The point is the pair of them have built this up into a career-defining fight which makes it a really exciting prospect, but also will make it hard for the loser to deal with psychologically.
