Somehow Chavez Jr has been installed at no.2 in the WBC rankings at 168, meaning Degale could get bypassed. Having said that, no.1 ranked Periban already had a title shot against Bika back in June so maybe he will get shifted down (though he is Mexican...) So if Degale was to get an eliminator and fight Chavez, who wins and why?
Was thinking about this earlier. I honestly think Degales style gives him nightmares. Urs a shame that he doesn't have more power but I'd fancy him to box to a decision win.
ive only seen a few Degale fights and I wasn't that impressed because of his terrible slapping I couldn't belive what I was seeing and it was frustrating because it is not hard to punch properly when he has been a fighter for so long with top training, but I was quite impressed the other night by his defence he was very quick had good head movement and body movement and was quick on his feet and thought it was good that he wasn't happy with himself and wanted to improve because of his leaning on the ropes for only a couple of rounds 7 and 8 I think and it was only 2 rounds but it is good that he wants to improve, although it was annoying that he said there would be no excuses and then after the fight said he hates to be a parrot but his knee is only 95%, but I was quite impressed with his defence but he still was slapping a bit but he still fired some nice punches and hurt davies. I think for that reason in a couple of fights time degale could win although it looks more likely that he will end up facing periban though.
