    Round 7

Álvarez is economical, drawing Chilemba across the ring, throwing nice tidy left hooks and lead rights to counter the rushes of Chilemba, who is throwing bunches of arm punches, both side-sweepers on the body and noodled jabs at the head. Chilemba just too much busier than Álvarez for the latter's higher quality to amount to an edge in points in this one.

    10-9 Chilemba

    69-64 Álvarez

I can understand the wide cards...but I feel it's closer, plenty of close rounds could see plenty of variance in the cards

    Round 8

Álvarez is catching jabs on either ulna. Crisp, timely counter-punching by Álvarez. Chilemba is showing good defense, picking off some jabs with a Hungry-Hippo motion with his right glove coming off its resting position up at his shoulder. Chilemba is still busier, and using feints, just not landing much. Álvarez is moving, countering, and occasionally clinching. Álvarez scoring with sharp lefts in some of Chilemba's lulling moments.

    10-9 Álvarez

    79-73 Álvarez

I think Griffin is telling them were to hit "back of the head" that's all I heard. A man of few words.

Alvarez certainly seemed in command at the end of the eighth. Maybe the rough patch he experienced has passed.

    Definitely one of those fights.

Very nip and tuck but I'm not surprised most have Alvarez clearly up.
