Degale really is a strange one, he mixes real moment of quality with equal mesaures of dirty tactics. And he throws as many stupid shitty flicks and slaps as he does lovely solid crisp shots.

But hes beatin Smith comftably and looking still lively 8 rounds in.

    Round 8

Smith is hopping in and out with hooks to the head and body with some success. DeGale follows cautiously, sticking his right jab out to get a feel for Smith's reactions. DeGale lands a 1-2 and then clubs a ducking Smith on the back of the head with his right to round out the combo. Smith lands a short hook and goes back to trying to draw DeGale along after him. Smith lays on the ropes and invites DeGale in, and tries to open up on him but eats a big right hook that wobbles him a moment. Smith grits his teeth and gets right back down to business, moving laterally and jabbing low. Smith is boxing well this round.

    10-9 Smith despite getting hurt.

    Round 9

DeGale flashes his handspeed with straight accurate right jabs and left crosses. Smith is desperately trying to hook his way inside and get something going. DeGale lands a hard left that stuns Smith and unloads with punches in fast and furious bunches. Smith is still upright, and comes back with an overhand right. He lunges with a big left hook that misses. DeGale walks him down without throwing a punch, threatening with his jab. HUGE LEFT HAND!!! Smith is nearly decapitated!!!

Smith doesn't go down but is waved off.

Dont think i could grumble too much about the fight being stopped their. Refs have the fighters health as their 1st priority.

    Correct stoppage.

Really don't like DeGale at all. I just don't think he's good enough to match his big mouth.

I'm probably alone in this but I can't wait for him to get knocked out.
