Robbery on the level of Froch - Kessler When Dave Paris told Cleverly to stop holding with his left arm, his whole game plan changed and Clev got beaten up in those 6-10 rounds.
Hope so but I don't think that's what DeGale is looking for, but a technical fight using his far superior speed and skills. Easier said than done though.
It was a close fight, no robbery...I had it 114-113--Cleverly easily took the first 5 rounds, Mohammedi stormed back taking the next 4, and Round 11 on my card...
That wasn't a robbery and this fight wasn't a robbery. 116-111 was wide, but Cleverly still won the fight and it was a close fight.
I've always been a fan of Paul Smith's body punching, I don't know why. He's got a really decent dig to the body though, great tenacity in his body attack.
Ive watched Macklin and Clev fights and both of them have been shockers. Lets hope Degale and Smith lives up to the hype. DeGales by TKO is my pick, inside 4.
We scored it exactly the same (except I had the 11th to Clev and 12th to Mohammedi, instead of vice-versa). Anything in the neighborhood of a very close decision for Cleverly is about right. A draw would be as far as you could possibly go for Mohammedi.
Yeah, Mohammedi gave away too many early, can't really complain about the winner, but Cleverly sure looked miles away from the top level where punchers such as Brahmer, Shumenov and Pascal operate, and they can put some bang behind that counter left hook.
Yep, I noticed that...I thought Mohammedi was busier and controlled the round in 11, and Cleverly won the 12th on his jab alone--giving him the fight, but we did have the same result of 114-113 Clev...
