james degale...why does he have to be such an a-hole?!

if he could be articulate enough to actually pull it off then it might actually be funny, sadly he just comes across as a complete ned!

 

DeGale came across as being ******ed. The guy is 25 ffs and acting like this. Frank needs to bring a media trainer for this fool.

 

But what Ali did was classy?? Can we be real people these guys punch each other in the face for a living i think they can accept someone saying they have bad breath. Hes trying to put on a show thats literally it.

I like Degale, characters are good for boxing love them or hate them it makes you more interested.

People on here talk about how bad it is boxing is dieing but dont want to attract idiots to the sport. Unfortuneatley a majority of people are idiots so if you want boxing to heal up a few (more) morons are gonna have to be recruited to the ranks of boxing fans.

i started to like the guy because he improved in his fights. thats a major thing for me in a boxer but now he is talking again and he comes across as such a wanker. so much so that i'm leaning towards groves. the wanker in him could also be revealing his mind set, possible fear of the occassion, becoming emotionally invested etc

you can't say that you don't support fighters as a person and not just boxers. i like degale the boxer, i think he is an improving talent but degale the person is a bellend that has me wanting him to lose.

 

I actually think acting like a stupid childish gimp is a very effective way of winding up some fighters.

 

From personal research its an effecitve way of winding up most people. Childish foolery cant be countered with wit or intellect.

 

he's playing the role to help build the hype? People get touchy on this **** and its 2011..
People laugh when mayorga and overseas fighters talk **** but change the tune when we have a few of our own?

i dont mind the trash talking in the build up to a fight & yes, it sells however with degale it really is school play ground insults, the ones that will be spouted among 6 year old on a weekly basis throughout the country. i think he does make his self look a bit juvenile with his "smelly breath" "ugly kid" "ginger nut" taunts, whilst watching ringside i thought to my self, is that the best you can come up with?

 

It was a sarky comment mate, like you I think its no big deal and is just trying to sell a fight.:good
