Hi all, this is my first post on here! DeGale has so much promise and potential, but I agree he's not with the right trainer. All you have to do is look at the performances of Amir Khan in the last 15 months to see the huge difference having a world-class trainer like Freddie Roach has done for his career. I don't think Jimmy Mac is the man to get the best out of DeGale, he's a good trainer, but will he be able to turn a pretender into a contender?? I have my doubts. Like you've all said, Sports Network and Frank Warren are way too protective of their fighters, no doubt 2010 will be 12 months of DeGale fighting bums!!
Didnt see the fight, but sounds like DeGale is still slapping as bad as ever. Maybe hes been watching too many Calzaghe videos. I thought the gloves looked huge as well from he stills I've seen of the fight. Haye would have problems KOing Khan with those bad boys on!
i am afraid before anyone start talking about degale and groves, what needs to happen is that james needs to learn how to ****ing punch. He should not be a pro at the moment if he cannot get that totally fundamental part of the game right. end of
firstly i'd get him to punch properly and then get him wearing everlast or reyes so he can cause some serious damage.
