This, this, this. De Gale looks very raw, uncooked, and yes I know he's a prospect but I'm talking in the sense that don't see the superstar potential bursting to get out like some do. When I see De Gale I see someone who tries too hard to showboat, is a little unsure of how to fight and slaps a lot. I don't understand why so many people think he's skilled. The jury is still out IMO. Just cuz someone is switch-hitting, slapping combinations to make it look like he's got great handspeed, against a low quality opponent, how can skill be confirmed? When I see Frankie Gavin, I think he's got skill, and George Groves. De Gale, I still don't know. Groves keeps it more simple, but simple does not mean less skillfull. Skill is not something that neccesarily looks flashy. It can look flashy (Roy Jones), or it can look ugly (Bernard Hopkins), but right now, I think Groves would beat him up.
