James Doolan Looking To Capitalise On Hamrsmid's Mistakes; Talks Harvey Draw

James Doolan caught up with BritMMA.co.uk ahead of his fight with Euro ranked Michal Hamrsmid (20-8-1) at On Top next month... He is expecting a tough fight that could go anywhere, and is preparing with this in mind.

He also talks about whether it was a wise idea to carry on after the Harvey upkick, and what the future holds for him!

A taster from the interview:

"Michal was in the European rankings way back when I was just coming up in the sport," revealed James. "He had some time off with injury and came back with a win in December which pushed him back into the European 'Top 10' rankings. His current record is 20-8-1, he is a former World Kickboxing Champion and finished his last eight opponents with Submissions.

"He is well rounded, very athletic and aggressive, experienced and dangerous; everything a ranked fighter should be really. Every fight motivates me to some degree. I learned a lesson last year by maybe taking a fighter a little bit lighter than I should have and I paid for it. I'll not be doing that again. With the UFC opening up the Feather and Bantam divisions, these divisions are getting more competitive and guys are now starting to duck each other or pad out records fighting unknown novices. Michal is obviously looking for hard fights, as am I, so there's a lot at stake in this one."
