I don't get, how you can be "almost sure" about that - but if you are, that's fine. We will of course never know.

If Mcvey's BS was electricity, he would be a power plant. Simply stated, he greets most accomplished white heavyweight champions with antipathy. Always has. This lead to his black vs.white thread that got him banned for the second time. Thankfully the rest in the forum did not take his bait.

We both know if he does happen to place us on ignore ( Pretty please ), he'll answer back with one of his other alts on the website or eventually put the numerous people he has issues with back to regular reading status.

    A) Corbett looks ridiculous from a technical standpoint.

    B) Bowe would take out the moribund, attrition-oriented Jeffries in 1 or 2.

Yes I have it's mentioned in Pollack's bio ."Jeffries walked over and carefuly examined Fitz's hands, finding nothing amiss".
I said I would take a hiatus and go travelling, I went to St Tropez,Nice, Cannes,Monaco, MonteCarlo ,and Grasse,I had a 3 week holiday booked in the Carribean for the following week but, on the advice of my countries Foreign Office I cancelled the flight and got a voucher from BA for £550 valid for one year.
Anything else you want to know about my movements before I put you on ignore with that other muppet Mendozy?

Because unlike Corbett, he was regarded as a good technician and fight reports can tell you a lot about styles.

By major, I'll list title fights. Since you barred the 1910 fight, where Jeffries was 227 lbs, here are the other title fights where he was over or very close to 220LBS.

    Vs Munroe. 224 lbs
Vs Fitz in the re-match he as 219 pounds, close enough.
Vs Corbett in the 1st match he was 218 pounds.
    Vs Ruhlin 218
    Vs Finnegan, 240

    * All weight according to Box Rec.

So it's clear he won significant matches very close to or over 220 pounds. If Jeffries was around today, he's would be 230 pounds easily.

Highly unlikely. Jeffries was extremely tough man, he wouldn't quit after one round.

He never faced a boxing machine remotely as destructive as Bowe.

Maybe, maybe not. He fought the best punchers of his era, including past prime but still dangerous Joe Goddard. My point is that it's extremely unlikely to stop someone as durable and mentally tough as Jeffries in one round and Bowe is certainly not the first candidate I'd pick to do that.

I am a big fan of Goddard but he was a 40 year old full blown alcoholic by the time Jeffries got to him.

If Riddick Bowe landed out of a time machine and into a boxing ring in 1900, he would look like an alien to those folks... Size, speed, skillset, beard, pop, punch arsenal...

Goddard was 40 years old had won none of his last 3 fights, and was not in the best of shape at 194lbs,the middle 180's was about his most effective weight. He was also 6ft with a 73 inch reach ie, 5 inches shorter than Bowe, with 8 inches less reach.
Goddard had 15 more fights after the Jeffries one ,he won just one of them ,with an illegal back hand, over the equally boozy Peter Maher.
"Goddard slipped a lead and landed a back-hander to the right side of Maher's face. The Australian seemed to have more than a few pounds on Maher."

I don't pick Bowe to stop Jeffries in the early rounds, but its entirely possible,he might tko him in the 7th or 8th.IMO

I'm not so confident about Jeffries mental toughness.Joe Choynski stated he suffered a mental collapse going into the Johnson fight.

Firstly at that time around the mid 90s Golota was highly rated and was wrecking people.

Also take the comment about more durable on board...….. but he was effectively fighting guys weighing less than 200 pounds. That was less so the case for the likes of Bowe and Golota.

    Sports and competitors evolve...

Bowe batters him and drops him and stops him in the last couple of rounds

I'm from Poland, I know who Gołota was. Dangerous but overrated fighter on world level.
Jeffries fought a few guys at or over 200 lbs.
    Evolution is not progression.
