I don’t know. Jeffries was strong and had great stamina and power. But this may be the first time he ever faced a man who was significantly bigger and possibly stronger than he was. And promo could box and punch too. Not sure who wins
Hi Buddy. I think that one of the toughest, strongest, most resilient HWs of all time, would have the better of a manufactured heavyweight who despite his undoubted bravery, was mob controlled, and a number of his opponents were probably approached to how shall we say " lie down " for me Jefferies would administer a severe beating to a hapless, but stoic adversary, I see the ref stepping in at some stage to save Carnera, who would no doubt protest the stoppage . staysafe buddy, chat soon.
Jeffries was very strong and had a good punch as well as stamina, durability and strong chin. However, at his prime he was considered as a technical fighter too. He was fast and had a great defense. That's why I think he would be able to outbox and outpoint Carnera.
I have a pretty advanced simulator for every boxer. Jeffries vs Carnera was a very interesting fight. Simulation really backs up what Mike Cannon said. Carnera actually scored first knockdown in Round 5 on Jeffries. By Round 10 Carnera was practically spent. Down twice in round 10. Gutted out a very ugly clinching round 11 and was down twice more in round 12 and fight was stopped Jeffries 12 Round TKO. Jeffries has the ability to have to the advantage in endurance against most individuals. As wearing people down is his biggest advantage. Pretty much exactly as Mike Cannon guessed. for me Jefferies would administer a severe beating to a hapless, but stoic adversary, I see the ref stepping in at some stage to save Carnera, who would no doubt protest the stoppage .
Round 1-6: The fight starts with both fighters feeling each other out. Jeffries, known for his strength and endurance, tries to wear down Carnera with body shots. Carnera, with his towering height and reach advantage, keeps Jeffries at bay with jabs and occasional hooks. Round 7: The crowd gasps as Carnera lands a wide open-hand slap on Jeffries, causing him to stumble and hit the canvas. Jeffries quickly gets back on his feet, the ref counts 8 and the fight continues. Round 8-12: Jeffries regains his composure and starts to fight back with renewed vigor. Both fighters exchange heavy blows, with neither willing to give an inch. The tension in the arena is palpable as the rounds progress. Round 13: Carnera lands a powerful uppercut to the nose that sends Jeffries crashing to the ground once again. The referee starts the count, but Jeffries manages to get up just in time, determined to continue the fight. Round 14: Both fighters are visibly exhausted, but they continue to push forward. Jeffries focuses on Carnera's body, trying to weaken him for the final round. Round 15: In a dramatic turn of events, Jeffries lands a devastating body shot that sends Carnera through the ropes and onto the floor outside the ring. Carnera is unable to continue. Jeffries is declared the winner by knockout, and the crowd erupts in cheers.
I'm curious how Jeffries handles being the smaller man for a change, but I don't think Primo has the pop to pose any power threat eother. Jeffries likely wears him down late or wins a decision due to superior all around ability.
