James J Jeffries.. Would He Survive 15 Rounds Against Joe Louis?

    I seriously doubt it. Jeffries had questionable defense as he had his nose broken three times and struggled with opponents who were about the size of modern day super middles. Louis’s fast hard and pin point combinations would find their mark early and often. I think Jeffries gets disposed as quickly and in similar fashion to men like Carnera and the Baer brothers

    If so, only as a punching bag. The only thing going for him is that he was a croucher somewhat like Godoy, but unlike Godoy he wasn't a clutcher or much of a mauler from what I have seen. So I think he would have been an easier target for Joe than Godoy.
