You are assuming that he would be up for the fight in the first place!

Jones never showed the ability to take a Jeffries level blow. Heck he was knocked unconscious by a low level light hwt. Jones is counted out within ten rounds.

Do we allow Jones to ROID up? Is Jeffries allowed to ROID up?

Funny. I would contend that Jeffries never showed the ability to beat a Jones' level talent in terms of speed and power.

And as far as cherrypicking Jones' post prime result, who has the better record post-30? I believe that Jeffries went 0-1. I know that Jones grabbed and/or defended a number of belts.

Is the fight in the cellar?
If so, my money is on Jefferies!

    Good point.

Jeffries hid behind the colour line like a girl under mama's skirt for as long as he could make the choice to do so.

Jeffries may very well look like a carved pumpkin by the end of it, stylistically it’s not a favourably matchup. Roy loves feasting on counter punchers like Ryan-trained Jeffries and will make Jeff pay if he forces the pace and leaves himself open. Outboxing Roy is far from the goal here judging from the first Corbett fight.

The more aggressive and reckless Jeffries from Ruhlin 2 and Fitz 2 will win, at the cost of facial tissue. His accurate body work will break Roy down eventually.

They were wharfbrawling slobs by and large. Where is the Tom Sharkey in the modern heavyweight game? Where is the 168 pound FItzsimmons? They were obsoleted out over the decades.

Jones would slash and batter Jeffries to a standstill by Round 6, the right orbital smashed to dust.

How big were the contenders that Jeffries challengers beat?
