    Kirkland at least beats on sparring partners getting paid to do the same to him, Canelo beats on midgets dating his birds mother. :deal

    I don't see the problem, the guy he was sparring was Brian Vera as well. He has some solid sparring, I remember checking out the sparring he was doing with a cruiserweight pre-Angulo, the dude trains to be relentless and seize every opportunity with extreme and violent force, ergo his sparring is about establishing a mindset just as it is about building technique and strategy, which are most likely taken care of in unfilmed sessions. I have no problem with his sparring, this isn't an exercise class, he is training to better his life and get paid.

    They guy's ****in jumbled up after and they still let him continue after like 30 seconds? smfh

    power and determination alone can only get you so far, especially when you have a questionable chin..

    I agree it can only get you so far, but James is improving his defense as well, you could see him slipping and rolling punches very well in the Angulo fight. He also is getting better at setting up his own offensive output. He is actually growing and developing as a fighter.

    PC: You and James Kirkland recently sparred. How did that go?
    BV: It turned out good, man. It was real competitive and we went back and forth. He seems to be back in a comfortable spot with Ann and everything. Me and Ann got a lot of respect for each other. She is real good people and it seems like, right now, we're going to be able to help each other a lot being that we're from the same area. We put our pride behind us and we're willing to help each other out. Me and James Kirkland got some good work in

    :lol::patsch

    I'm probably the biggest Kirkland fan on the forum, but he has a bad habit of beating people up in sparring and cheap shotting them in sparring, and such.

    It's a nasty side to him.. but like you said, the man feeds on blood and he won't pull any punches. I love him as a fighter.. he's my favorite active fighter.

    Its got **** all to do with race you drama queen. If he was white I would say exactly the same thing I said.

    I actually stated that I like James Kirkland and his ring style, but thrashing a sparring partner when he is out cold and defenseless on his feet gains you nothing. This "it's fostering his mentality" excuse is as pathetic as the end to the actual sparring session itself.

    If you have ever sparred with a better fighter than you you know what it feels like to be taught a lesson, to have your ass kicked. But there comes a point the trainer should say, that's enough, which is what Ann Wolfe should do here, or, for the more humane of us, you make the decision to stop hitting the guy yourself.

    Listen, all the best to Kirkland, the guy is a tough ****er and a hard puncher to boot, but on this particular instance I find it hard to agree with his routine, and can only hope it isn't a daily occurrence.

    I put the onus on Vera's people to stop this **** more than Ann of James, plus Vera has always worked with Wolfe and James so he knew the deal going in.
