The weight you can or can't make depends on genetics but it also depends on how you train. Anybody can make a weight they've made in the past. If you train hard enough you can get down to the weight you were. You might lose muscle in the process but unless it's the muscles you actually use in a boxing match, and in Kirklands case it probably isn't, you'd lose muscles which don't really contribute to your boxing skills to begin with.

If he were fighting and made this weight then we could say he might not be able to go down but he was sitting around idle in prison so this is likely why hes at that weight.

He was at 190 after getting arraigned. I read an interview with his manager a couple months back that said he was back in the mid-160's and would have no problems at all making 154. It's not as if he's been stuck behind actual bars for a while now. He's been living in a halfway house for like 4-5 months.

one of my favorite fighters to watch. I hope he rebounds from this mishap in a big way. Id rather him get two to three easy tune-up fights, maybe a fighter with a weak chin and then one with a solid one who can give Kirkland some solid rounds. then Id like to see him take on a Cornelius Bundrage and then Angulo!

I dont think we are thinking of the same Williams.
Paul Williams. The guy that throws 1000 punches a fight and has really no defense other than offense. That is hardly slick buddy.

Kirkland would not have a problem tagging him and he has big power which is why im saying he could beat him. I also think PW's chin has seen its best days and is on the slide.

You should really tell all those guys that have done this in the past that they messed up. They should have known to only lose muscle they dont use in a fight. Stupid boxers and their PROFESSIONAL dieticians....
