James Kirkland is suing Golden Boy Promotions, trainers Ann Wolfe and Pops Billingsley, and managers Cameron Dunkin and Mike Miller, hoping to get a new start in his pro boxing career that could mean a move to 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather's TMT Promotions. "It happened on Thursday and was filed in the federal court in Los Angeles where Golden Boy is incorporated. The suit seeks damages and injunctive relief that would allow him to fight during litigation, and declaratory relief saying that his contract is invalid." his lawyer said.
100% agree. Unless there's proof that Golden Boy representatives sabotaged his career, I don't see how he possibly has a case as it would be a terrible precedent to set. To my knowledge, they've done everything they could to showcase him but there's only so much you can do when the guy goes to prison, gets destroyed by a B-level fighter, then gets hurt and prices himself out of the biggest fight of his career...
hes an idiot i think Kirklands chin will only gold up with Anne Wolfe even tho its mainly his recoverin speed, in the Ishida fight he couldnt recover because of bad shape who else is gonna get this guy into proper shape
Gamboa didn't end up that bad. Lost a year but got rid of TR and it's going for championship fight in November.
