Hence his development into an on-top fighter who crumbles under the slightest resistance. I mean, those sparring partners were by no means good. That fatass guy was sparring in socks, then barefoot. I mean come on. I know Kirkland only fights guys that suck but you could at least get him some competitive sparring.

He's not learning a damn thing or developing a damn thing just beating the **** out of fat nobodies.

    Exactly.

I like what Wolfe has going on, she is building spartans... I dig it. But seriously, she needs to see the flaws in her system, and take her fighters to another level. Bring in a technical trainer who will be able to develop these fighters skills as well.

That wasn't a gym war, that was a beatdown that you rarely see except in cases where guys are working out something personal, and even then the trainers are supposed to keep that **** under control.

Let me put it this way: Edwin Valero was considered to be pretty vicious in sparring. He got pissed off at Urbano Antillon and decided he was going to knock him out in sparring because Antillon was getting personal, and he did just that. He caught Antillon with one vicious combination, left him staggering around on ***** street, then took a step back while Antillon's trainers tended to him. THAT'S hard sparring. I've spent years in various MMA gyms and I've never seen anyone knocked out or battered like that, except in cases where guys thought they could take it and didn't tap in time, and ended up getting choked out more or less on accident.

What we're seeing in this clip is like if the crips and bloods decided to get into boxing and they think this is how you're supposed to train, just go in and have one streetfight after another until you get tough. This is borderline assault and battery. I'm seriously upset at whoever is supposed to be training this kid that took that beating from Kirkland because he was setup to be used a punching bag, like a chihuahua fed to a pit bull, and that's just bull****. Hard for me to believe that was Vera because you'd think he would be surrounded by better people.

Why would it matter whether it's Maidana or Kirkland doing it?

watch the last 20 seconds or so of this clip, and listen to what they say after Antillon gets his world rocked. 'That's gonna close the show, you don't want your guy to take one more punch after something like that'. Watch Valero immediately take a step back, he didn't need to be told. That's the attitude you're supposed to bring to a sparring session, even a hard one like this. Even a stone cold animal like Valero knew this. Wolfe has no ****ing idea what she's doing in there. Kirkland's sparring is next to worthless.
