    I think Kirkland is a live dog in this fight. The guy is an animal, its actually pretty hard to control a guy like this with your technical skill-set, because you have to match his aggression and that means you're fighting like an idiot at times. How good is Canelo at fighting like a wild idiot?

    I wouldn't put my darling fighter into this pit, unless the fans were frothing at the mouth for it.

    Too bad the James Kirkland in all of the videos won't be the James Kirkland stepping into the ring with Canelo.

    I remember when Kirkland was a young up and coming contender, was one of my favorite fighters and was so excited to see him take on the best in the division

    How his career has progressed since :-(


    He could make up for a lot if he just won this fight, but with having to drop so much weight, the inactivity, and without anne.... even I think he turned a perfectly winnable fight into a fight he will be lucky to make the distance in.

    Kirkland had two of the best behind him. Willing to go to the ends of the earth for him. But he just couldn't lose that street punk image. Canelo will make him look a fool & destroy him. Without Ann & Pops whats he got???

    Only a punchers chance but he was out of shape i doubt he will even have his power. A year and a half - two years a go this would have been a good fight as kirkland comes forward non stop and hits hard hes was relentless. Now he is out of shape and will be drained kind of like angulo

    Why cant guy with jelly jaw be a warrior Rico?:huh

    He is warrior on highest order. He just cant take punch but he is warrior. No fear in that guy.

    Anne Wolfe helped him but she is pretty 'street' herself which wouldnt have helped him 'reverse' the mindset.


    She did bring the best out of him though. Is it too late for him psychologically though?
