James Kirkland to be released from prison on October,

I just hope James can keep his **** together from now on. I love watching the guy fight. If things work out it's a great story really. It's a very intriguing combination with his trainer and him, the unorthodox training, exciting fighting style, ect.

 

He's getting over-rated on a Tua scale because people think power and a good chin is all you need to win fights. Number one, he's not fought anybody that can hit as hard as Angulo, possibly Julio who had him stunned in round 3. Conyers had him hurt off of one right hand and then had him down with the next. His chin is not undentable.

And more than that, he lacks the necessarily technical skills to box. The guy is almost completely inept to adapting, he just ploughs forward hoping he can take his guy out. His head movement is non existent and he gets caught with too many punches. This guy is far from unbeatable, Martinez in particular would have a field day.

 

Martinez would make a mockery of Angulo as well though to be fair. Both these guys got quickly blown out of proportion.

 

Fvck him....wife beating, robbing, southpaw.....keep him in the hole.

I read somewhere that he blew up to over 200 lbs when he first got locked up. Let's hope that he's knocked off the weight and regained his focus.

 

Glad he's getting out. He was an exciting fighter to watch.

martinez and kirkland wud b interesting but martinez takes it. winky shud have stayed in the mix he wud b owning all these if he never took the lay off what a shame

 

Kirkland's a big threat to anyone who gets hit alot because of his style and strength at the weight. He can be outboxed by the top fighters (I don't think he'd fare well against guys like Martinez, Dzinziruk, and if he's still got his legs, Spinks), but sluggers and brawlers will have a tough, tough night's work with him.

He's definitely a good talent with a lot of potential. But I honestly think he's in need of a better trainer. Not that Wolf isn't a great fighter......but she not as good as a trainer as she was as a fighter. And James at this point needs a "spring board" type of comeback to make up for the lost time.

 

The sooner he gets back in the ring, the better.

 

He fvcked up.....big time but the guy deserves a second chance and if he's able to stay dedicated then good things can happen for him. He was exciting and hopefully he can make a good comeback.
