Never seen much of kirkland up until yesterday and it seems that the guy is too much hype. I think Angulo would have stopped Vera alot sooner and would have dominated from the first round aswell, Vera had nothing. Kirklands stamina was fading and he was landing fewer and fewer shots, I dont think this kid has it to go up against "El Perro". Kirkland lacks the power, stamina, and so far his chin hasnt been tested. Id take Angulo by stoppage 8th round.

Angulo has crisp punches throughout, he flattens Kirkland.

Angulo no question. Although that guy he fought the other day looked like a super middle.

Kirkland has potential. There are a lot of tweaks that need to be made.

But Angulo's style is a tried and tested one, and provided his chin is as good as it seems thus far, he will go far.

In a years time, this could be a genuine super-fight at 154. But going on Saturday nights fight, I'm going for Angulo by late stoppage.

Vera seems to be an awkward matchup...who would have thought he would have beaten Lee....I never would have thought the Kirkland fight would have gone outside of 4...Jaidon knocked the cat out in 1 or 2....

Angulo would stop kirkland in the mid to late rounds.

I think its a terrible fight for Kirkland. But I also feel he would take it. He has a lot of heart but gets hit often. I think Angulo handles him and KO's him. Kirkland is not as good as HBO wanted us to believe he was lastnight.

Also Kirkland has been rocked several times and down on more than one occasion.

Angulo has yet to face anyone who resembles a puncher yet, and that's by design. I can pretty much guarantee you he has no better than an average chin.

    Angulo was rocked by Gutierrez.

This fight could easily go either way. People are quick to dimiss Kirkland's chances after he got dropped by Conyers and stunned by Cortes. What they don't seem to remember is how Shark Attack was teeing off on Angulo and stunned him with a barrage of punches or how welterweight Richar Gutierrez wobbled him with a left hook. Angulo may have beaten the better opposition, but he has flaws and below average handspeed. It wouldn't surprise me in the least bit to see Kirkland knock him out, or vice versa. It would be a good fight regardless, and I highly doubt it goes past 6 rounds.

I agree with everything mentioned here. Guiterrez wasn't even a puncher at the least and hurt Angulo. Conyers had punching power.

I'd take Kirkland to beat Angulo. If not by early/mid round stoppage, by wide decision.

Codrington is a great puncher at 168 lbs, doesn't mean Kirkland is not a great puncher at 154.
