James Kirkland vs Antonio Margarito

At 154, Kirkland definitely hits harder than Margo, who didn't really show much powerwise vs Pac at the weight.


I don't think Margo is a legit 154 lber. Neither is Cotto, who took a meaningless belt from a feather-fisted Jew who couldn't crack an egg and then had problems with a punk clown who lost to every real fighter not named Forrest.


Both Margo and Cotto haven't really established any kind of resume at the weight.


Kirkland and Angulo and Sergio are true 154 lbers.

 

Fight smarter dont gass out, go to the body more, throw uppercuts on the inside and last thing Margo is a much better fighter then Angulo.:deal

Margo wouldn't have to worry about gassing out after hurting James, because he wouldn't have had the same effect with his punches. Like I said, You get margo in the middle of the ring trading with Kirkland, you get Margo KTFO quicker than he did with Mosley.

 

Shane mosley is a much different fighter.. He's fast, good combos, great chin! etc...

Shane didn't beat Margo with angles, he beat him by matching him brute strength and eclipsing him in punching power. When he got on the inside he tied up Margo and walked him back, then punched and unloaded when he was ready. He followed a gameplan that even Kirkland could emulated if he wanted to.

 

Shane used his speed, power, distance and he tied margo up on the inside.. As much as I love Kirklands ring style, he has many flaws. Im not sure he could beat Margarito, unless tony is totally shot. Im not saying tony would win easily.. No no, it would be a war and tony might have to box a little bit!

 

2. You saw three fights prior to Williams and give me the Garcia fight as your example. Thats the fight after Mosley where he was fading and coming off a long layoff. You see the problem right?

3. Paul Williams started the fight from the outside and moved inside as Margarito picked up the pace. And it was his punching angles that gave Margo probelms. And if Margo won rounds 7-11, is that not a close fight?

4. Yes, Manny says a lot of ****. But that is not an effective rebuttal.

5. No, Margo didn't box Cintron who was more fundamentally sound than Margo. He couldn't have won that way. But if Margo was able to beat Cintron twice and Angulo was unable to touch a damaged Cintron, does that not make Margo more fundamentally sound than Angulo?

Shane used his power and his "distance" was on the inside. He tied Margo up because physically Margo was bigger, Kirkland won't have to tie Margo up, Margo would have to tie him up.

There is nothing that Margo offers than Angulo did not in a stronger and even more durable package.

2. I saw more than three fights prior to Williams, that being said Margo can't box in the slightest.

No P-Will did not start on the outside, he can't fight on the outside, that is such a lie any P-Will hater or supporter can call you out on that. :rofl His punching angles were awkward but they weren't the problem, the problem was the workrate. If At the most Margo could only win 5 rounds in a 12 round fight, not that isn't close. Especially when you realize that 7 - 11 wasn't a clearly won by Margo and that some round could have gone either way, but 1 - 6 and 12 were unquestionably P-Will rounds.

5. How was Angulo unable to touch Cintron when he obviously hurt Cintron late with shots to the body and simply came on too late? Also lets not forget that Angulo had the flu as well, either way like I said earlier, nothing in Margo's fights at the top level show him as being anything than a crude 1 dimensional bully.

Margarito has fought ATGs, and HOFs, Margarito has a better chin than Angulo, and would never commit a rookie mistake like Angulo, If this fight happens within a year, I pick Margarito by Brutal stoppage on the 2nd or 8th, if not the 1st, Ishida style. Kirkland is no Pacquiao top 3 ATG.

 

Also his chin hasn't been the same since Shane drop and stopped him.
