    This would be a war. But who comes out on top at 154?

    Kirkland hits hard, but has a weak chin. Margarito has a granite chin, but is slower and not as hard a puncher. Both are relentless, both are slow starters, and both are hittable.

    Margarito wasn't a one punch artist, but I think he hit hard enough to possibly stop Kirkland.

    really hard to say. marg would break you down but when he faced a semi hard puncher in WW mosley he was never really in the fight? like others have said marg is not a 1 punch hitter, id favour james over him (very likely by KO similiar to mosley), thats if he did not break his hands on margs chin before he got it

    I think it could come down to Margarito being able to take Kirkland's punches, but Kirkland not being able to take Margarito's punches.

    It could also be an ugly fight at first, because both are slow starters.

    I see both fighters being hospitalized after the fight is over .

    Usually no one can go toe 2 toe with Margarito and beat him at his own again . But that's usually with WWs .

    Kirkland is a full fledged STRONG 154 pounder .

    Both fighters in their best day , neither would get stopped .

    This goes all 12 . Razor close fight , possibly a Draw .

    Margarito had a titanium chin back in his day .

    I can see him absorbing Kirklands bombs .

    Shockingly , looking at both fighters . Margarito is STILL the bigger man between the 2 .

    Margarito 5ft11

    Kirkland 5ft9 .

    That's amazing right there .

    If featherfisted Ishida with only 9 KOs can stop Kirkland, Margarito has more than enough power to do it, with or without plaster.

    If Kirkland can somehow do what Mosley did, then he's got a good chance,,... I doubt that though,,... But I gotta go with Margarito since I know he can take a punch,,... Margarito and probably by stoppage,,...

    this is a fun fight! it depends who can impose their will. if i had to bet, prime Margo would wear him down and stop him.

    Kirkland wasn't on Marg's level in terms of technical skills. Marg would've broken Kirk down.

    Great fight... not sure who would win this savage encounter. Probably the type of fight that has even fans of these types of fights cringing due to the violence.
