Molina Vs Alvarez is the fight I wanna' see at 154.

Molina comes through some rough patches to win a UD IMO. Or Kirkland gets a gift ;-)

Kirkland edging the poll by one vote.:think

I think this could be very reminiscent of Cloud-Campillo in terms of momentum shift. I feel Kirkland's going to start at rapid speed and give Molina a lot of problems with his size, energy, and work rate. Molina's not particularly mobile and thus I can't see him managing to evade James' early onslaught consistently, he's going to be clipped a lot when trying to back up/grab hold imo. But it depends on how long Kirkland can keep it up for, because as soon as he starts to feel the pace that he's set I can envisage Molina's skills taking over(assuming the fight isn't already over by this stage).

Kirkland arms tend to become noticeably heavier after around four rounds or so in his fights, and I can see Carlos parrying a lot of them aside and coming back straight away with his own counters. His left to the ribs in particular I think he can land consistently after Kirkland overreaches and really sap the life out of him even further. He'll land the better quality, more eye-catching shots when things start to get messy imo, but at the same time I think he'll struggle to find much space. He's solid fundamentally but for me his lateral movement does leave a bit to be desired, which'll be further highlighted here against a guy who will come at him faster and with far more ruthless intentions than most of his other opponents.

It's gonna be close anyways, I think. The fact it's a 10-rounder can only work in Kirkland's favour, I think it hinges on just how many early rounds he can rack up, because I can see him coming out of the blocks at a rapid pace. Hopefully it doesn't end in one or something, I believe it has potential to easily be the best fight of the weekend.

I fully expect Molina to win via decision.

I'm not impressed by Kirkland to be honest. I'm not going to pretend I expected Ishida to knock him out, but I did think he'd get outboxed over 12 rounds - but probably 'win' anyway - and I have a similar feeling here. Kirkland's style leaves him open to getting hit, and I reckon Molina will slowly pick him apart over the distance. I don't see Kirkland being able to knock him out, and I think he'll tire by the middle rounds and Molina will take over.

I'd love Molina to stop him. I'm sick and tired of reading about what a 'great comeback' last year was for Kirkland. I don't buy the Ishida loss as a fluke that's all down to him not being trained by Ann Wolfe at that time.

And there's just something about Kirkland I don't like. Not sure what it is.

It's It could be the fact he is a complete bully ***** who batters helpless sparring partners. I think he gets his arse handed to him by the half way stage

If Kirkland does win I have no interest in him fighting Martirosyan or Canelo. I'd like to see him fight Lara. Sure, Lara's blown hot and cold but I think he'd absolutely school Kirkland and make him look stupid in the process.

Having said that seeing as how nobody else seems to be in a rush to fight him perhaps Kirkland can fight him after he loses to Molina and Lara beats Hearns. :think

This is in Texas ffs, no way Molina is getting a decision.

I reckon Kirkland gets a decision anyway, Molina might nick a few rounds but will he handle the pressure well? It's one thing outboxing a passive guy like Kermit but Kirkland's going to be coming for him and he'll make it rough.

I think the share of each poll result accurately reflect the likelihood of the respective outcomes.

    Well done, British forum. :good

Why? When have you ever seen Molina blown away? This isn't El Perro who's going to march into nonsense.

If Ossie Duran can go ten rounds with Kirkland, why not Molina who's a bit better?

Not too late at all. The loser of that one is probably set quite a bit back, though - especially if it's by KO.

    Is it a ten rounder?

I was suggesting james heads for the kill early and if fails he gasses out in the middle or later on?
