With Verno Phillips fighting Paul Willaims it looks like just might see Kirkland fight Spinks for IBF Vacant title. Who do guys see winning this fight?

    Unfortunately Spinks in a decision.

    Kirkland is still so raw.

Is Kirkland still getting trained by that chick Ann Wolf? I remember seeing him fight on ESPN a while back and the commentators (horrible BTW), were making a big deal about him training under Wolf. She was on there talking all sorts of dumb stuff about how rough it is in her gym etc. It was so silly.

The guy looks like he is in top shape, I will give him that. But if he ever steps into the ring with someone with pedigree and a real trainer, he may get KO'd. In the fights I have seen him fight, which is about 2-3, his game plan appears to be:

Rush in and keep throwing non-stop punches until the other guy falls down.

That's good until someone with a defense makes you miss or they hit back just as hard.

I hope he gets with a real good training team and builds on his natural ability.

I would pick Spinks to beat Kirkland by simply outboxing him and such

    BUT

There comes a point when someone super super aggresive like kirkland can not be outboxed because you will HAVE to stand your ground at some point... I wouldnt be totally suprised to see Spinks outbox Kirkland for 7 rounds and then Kirkland start to come on (this is totally assuming kirkland has good stamina and workrate down the stretch LOL) and maybe stop Spinks later in the rounds

Hey i can dream eh? Kirkland is my favorite fighter at 154 and i hope he can become the Champion there.

I don't know if Kirkland could find Spinks at this point in his career...Kirkland need to continue to sharpen his skills.

I think Kirkland needs at least 3 to 4 more fights...

Kirkland could beat him but I think Spinks wins a decision at this point.
