I would bet on Kirkland, but I don't know that he's anymore likely to stand up to Jermain's punches as Jermain would be to stand up to his. Like I said I would bet on Kirkland but it would really depend on which Kirkland and which version of Jermain showed up.
Kirkland dispite whatever else u want to say about his boxing does have rediculous power and the ability to deliver it. Which these days means only one thing. Good night taylor. Plus based on this last fight it would seem that his punch resistance is even worse then it was at 168.
Jermain is the bigger man, and also has a little power himself and has dropped guys with far greater chins than James. I would bet on Kirkland, but it's definitely not a sure thing.
Kirkland KO...not TKO but straight up KO. Ambulances and ****.....paramedics storming the ring in an effort to keep Taylor from biting his tongue off.:-(
Actually, despite what we saw last night, I'd still take Taylor to spark him out. Kirkland is slow, and even slower at 160. . . Hell, his chin is just as suspect as Taylor's. . . Unlike Truax, who actually was kinda tricky, and not easy to predict. . Kirkland is predicable. . and comes RIGHT in the front door. . Taylor would be step-back counterpunching him to death. . . Taylor KO 5.
Taylor is shot but Kirkland is nothing more than a journeyman, Taylor still has enough to crack his chin early.
