    X 2

I hope so. One of the more unsatisfying finishes of late. Molina had lost maybe one round, maybe, in a dominating performance but did get KD'd legit in the 10th, and his corner foolishly edged into the ring during the count. It is what it is. It has a long explanation, but it is a legit Kirkland DQ win. If I were ref, would I have done it? Hell no... Molina all day in a rematch, which I am positive will never ever happen.

    X 2

His suing of everyone associated to him shelved him hard and long.

I thought I read somewhere that Kirkland admitted to faking the injury to get out of the Alvarez fight like 2 days after he signed for it.

yeah it did mess him up but i doubt he would pull out of a fight that big, he didnt go to the olympics just to turn pro to make money because the guy came from nothin, he was willin to fight Alvarez with a bad shoulder but he wanted more money because he was basically sayin he'd lose so it could affect his career a bit
Wolfe said he hardly sparred as much as he normally does for the Molina fit because of his shoulder so it explains why he looked so terrible, even it was mostly because Molina is so awkward

Good decision. Mind you, most trainers would be better for him than Wolfe. But Garcia would definitely improve him.

Have to wonder, though. Hasn't Garcia already got his hands full with Rios, Maidana, Donaire, Mikey and numerous others?

I don't think it was a legit disqualification. The ref made a huge ****-up and cost Molina his victory. Molina's corner did nothing wrong, because the Texas rules stipulate that the round is over as soon as the knockdown victim beats the count. His corner at that point should have been allowed to enter the ring.

Well I know the bell doesn't save you in most states.

I really feel bad for Molina. I don't want to argue for the sake of it, but I really don't think that the ref had "finished" his count. (I'll have to watch it again)

It's a shitty situation which could have been easily avoided by the ref simply continuing/ending his 8 count without even acknowledging the corner man walking through the ropes.

From what I've read, the referee was not the one to make the decision. He didn't want to DQ him, but was forced to at the request of the Texas commission.

    Ha...

Super shitty BS corruption, goes on with the history of the sport and nice to think back on with the recent Botha/Williams shadiness.

Kirkland physically is a beast and seems to have the tools, but like Berto hardly ever has a plan B. At least against Angulo he looked very well boxing and taking his time breaking down Angulo. If it aint broke dont fix it leaving Wolfe was the worst move he could make.

Kirkland has one of the worst Chins in the sport. He isn't going far. That Glass Jaw will get shattered all over again.

    Great decision.
I believe h fired Ann because he said he didn't like how she went out of her way after the fight to put him down and how she didn't support him and do everything so he could win and advance, like saying Carlos really won and not yelling about the corner getting in the ring. He said he needs someone who is going to have his back 100% not be in the business of making themselves a star as well.

He also said Ann gave him some type of pill that made him see double before the fight started.
