Kirkland's power is legend. And by legend, I mean myth.

 

I've read some pretty foolish things on here today, but this takes the cake.

Yep. Kirkland is one of the hardest punchers in boxing p4p.

 

Actually, it's quite factual. He doesn't even have close to one punch power. And who exactly has he been knocking out that is so great? Exactly. His so-called power is accumulative based on his ability to throw a lot of punches. Nothing more.

 

And Chavez's power is overrated, too. He regularly outweighs his opponents on fight night and still doesn't knock them out with any regularity. He, like Kirkland, is a volume puncher who has to rely on that volume to hurt a guy. He doesn't have Julian Jackson type power. Not even close. Two of the most overrated punchers in the sport--Chavez Jr. and Kirkland.

When was the last time Kirkland won a fight that wasn't by stoppage other than against Molina (whom he had also hurt)?

If you think Kirkland is a KO artist, then you don't really know much about boxing. He went life and death with a club fighter in his last fight. He is sloppy, and genuinely seems to be quite a d1ck in real life. But, you just keep on dry humping him.

i his last 13 fights(excluding the molina fight where james had two tears in his right shoulder that required immediate surgery) kirkland has eight kos in four rounds or under.

That's what actually happened. Kirkland was still getting bombed on up until the fight got stopped. It was a pathetic performance against someone he was supposed to look great against.
