What happens to the chincheckers if Kirk walks right through Angulos first few bombs and procedes to lay him the **** out...........

well, methinks, Angulo joins the chinachin club:lol::lol:

The only chance I give him is his spurt in the beginning rounds.

They begin to incessantly and annoyingly call Angulo a glass jawed fraud.

Before Kirkland went to prison and basically ****ed his career I thought he would destroy Angulo. For some reason even though he might not be the same fighter he was I think something about his style spells trouble for Angulo.

I think this is an interesting fight for both men really. Danger on both sides.

I think Kirkland's equalizer is his greater handspeed and footwork. He has a better chance at pulling this upset off than most are giving him. Angulo is there to get hit, and Kirkland could build up some early rounds.

    Ha. Good one. :nono

Kirkland is the underdog here all conditions taken into account, but he's a 110% live muf****in underdog.

Hopefully neither's got a plan to bomb from outside... I'd like to see Kirkland take the upper hand in the pocket.

    Cintron stunned him...
Before James Kirkland went to jail I saw this fight as a 60-40% in his favor now. Now I have it 60-40% in Angulo's favor, but hear so many people counting him out that actually hope James gets the victory.

Kirkland fights one way, as soon at Angulo starts to back him up the fight is over.

I'm definitely going to be TVOing this fight to watch over and over. I hope it is not a quick one though, no matter how long it lasts, I'd like to see a nice drawn out battle that has FOTY candidate written all over it. The thing is, if it is drawn out and is as savage as we all expect it to be, chances are neither of these two could be the same fighter afterwards, either one or even both could be ruined one way or another no matter the outcome. I haven't made a pick yet, leaning slightly to Angulo but it really a pick em. If Kirkland's chin holds up early and he gets settled, then it gets really fun and interesting. Can't wait! :bbb

Even if Kirklands chin isn't as bad as advertised and it was just a fluke against Ishida, Angulo is just a superior fighter

Not to pick out your posts, but Kirkland's been in that situation before with Ossie Duran. Having someone in front of him that wouldn't go down and fought back (hard) made Kirkland fight back even harder in the second half of the fight (for me that was his most impressive win).

I don't think this fight is going to be about chins, it's going to be more about heart/spirit. I've been real unimpressed with Angulo in his career and can't believe he gets as much hype as he recieves. I believe the only reason this fight was even made was because team Angulo and GB believed Kirkland was really shot. That's typical for Angulo. They took Cintron right after his second KO loss to Margarito (and Martinez..), they figured if the smaller Margarito could do that to the WW Cintron, Angulo could too. He fought Julio after Kirkland destroyed him, then struggled with Julio, then he vacates his belt that he was so proud of to avoid fighting Dzinziruk. HBO tried to make a fight with Ouma & Angulo, Angulo turned it down and fights retired WW Cosme Rivera instead. The guy has a track record of a fragile mentality (look how he bitched and cried b/c his name wasn't big enough on a poster when he was on the undercard). If Kirkland holds up to Alfredo's shots and starts landing viscious hard shots on Angulo, he'll go into survival mode.
Additionally, in the past 19 months, Angulo's fought less than two rounds.

Meanwhile, forget about Kirkland's loss to Ishida already. We've seen the guy walk through bigger shots round after round in other fights and in sparring. He came out against Ishida weak and unfocused and loss by the three knock down rule, he wasn't rendered unconscious.
