James "Lights out" Toney vs. "Baby" Joe Mesi!!!!!!

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by compukiller, Mar 5, 2008.

  1. Toney without his needed Roids will lose to Mesi who will outwork him and win most likely by decision, Toney is a **** fighter at heavyweight, he's 40 years old, fat punchdrunk, can't punch worth ****, has very little power, and a total ******* to boot, the nice guy wins this no problem..
If i were Mesi i would make that fat tub of goo as Lamps puts it:yep take a prefight drug test, since that ***** feels the need to cheat..

Well...if JT is such a **** fighter at HW then Sam Peter must be a clown! Wald is a notch up from being a clown since he had a life and death struggle with Peter who James beat the first time.

With or without Roids JT is a way better fighter than Joe. Roids won't do **** for your skills...if it did then Joe would be a great candidate for doing it.

Toney by knockout, Jirov gave Mesi hell in there fight, a guy Toney was able to beat by a bigger margin in the fight of the year. I see Toney outboxing him badly, and by the mid to late rounds, Toney will catch him and have the weak chinned Mesi falling all over the ring, where Toney will go to finish him.

Did Toney take roids and just eat food? He could not have been working out too hard. Steroids decrease body fat, so am confused how he looked so out of shape.....

  6. I suppose you missed the PETER-TONEY rematch, when Sam bounced that lard ass all over the ring, and Toney lost the 1st match with Peter as well i guess you believe only what you want to believe..
And Toney needed Steriods to barley win a split decision over some Tomato can Danny Betchlander??? last year:hi: i guess you missed that one also...
And Steriods are a BANNED SUBSTANCE:deal you people are ignorant to believe they don't help someone in a competition, THAT'S WHY THEY ARE OUTLAWED................!!!!!!!!!:patsch

    I disagree.

I haven't seen much difference stylistically when Toney fought at lower weight classes compared to him fighting as a heavyweight. I don't believe steroids has benefited Toney much other than being heavier and punching a little harder. Besides those two benefits, what has changed? Not much in my estimation. And remember, Toney has always had fast hands. He isn't any faster today than before.

I agree, roids/HGH did more harm, than good for Toney, if infact he did take them. I still believe that Toney did not take steroids for performance reasons, he took Hydro-cortisone for the shoulder injury he sustained in what I think was the Rydel Booker fight, and continued on taking it help with the nagging injury.

Naw...didn't miss that. Peter completely won that fight without any questions. But that doesn't change the fact that JT is a ****ing former MW who competes with the so called "BEST HW" out there and is 1-1. That's ****ing amazing.

I did miss that Danny fight and yea...it was dissapointing but Toney still won and it's hard to get up for a fight when you are an elite fighter...How many times have you seen elite level guys struggle against the lower class opposition when they are fighting a "Tune up".

I never said steriods DON'T HELP in some areas. They do, but they don't help your skills which James has in abundance! Joe is lacking! Which is why Mesi hasn't a chance in beating a former MW and now FAT HW in James Toney.:hi:

Despite Toney being shot . . . no contest.

    Toney still smokes Baby Joe.

I fear for Joe's well being.

You won't find a bigger JT fan than me, but the fact is that Mesi would most likely tko Toney at this point.

JT struggled badly with Danny frickin Batchelder, and this wasn't struggle like being lazy and outworked against Thadzi and McGroom, Toney was hurt by a fighter that shouldn't have laid a glove on him.

Mesi, despite his injuries, has looked progressively better in his comeback. He is in good shape now, and whether you like him or not, he does have quick hands and good power. We'll know more after the Terry Smith fight but...

I really think he'll beat Toney if this match does somehow happen.

This might be a good fight for Mesi to take after the Smith fight. Toney sucked against a mediocre fighter his last bout out and barely won by split decision. May be prime time for Mesi to try a fighter like this. I would say it could go either way. James looked almost immobile against Peter and he is not a huge puncher.
