  1. Toney looks like a Heart atack waiting to happen, Baby Joe will smoke him, Toney has such weak power at Heavy he won't be able to hurt Mesi..

Toney wins a close decision, which is immediately overturned into a NC when he gets caught using roids for the 3rd time in a row.

I would favour toney by points in a reasonably good fight.

if toney was wanting it and actually trained and weighed in at say 220 i may favour him to stop mesi late in a real good fight with mesi cut up and stopped on stool

You could be right.....I just think JT took Danny VERY lightly! But he is getting old and he can't fight forever no matter how much skill he has. We'll see though....I still have JT beating the snot out of Baby. Mesi has never impressed me aside from his David Izon win...other than that he's looked ordinary.

He looked great knocking out TOS in one round.

Don't even like to think about a fight like this. Toney's "out of nowhere counterpunches" could end up hurting Joe real bad.....and we are not talking about the sport of boxing.

As shitty as Mesi is, I think he would beat a 2008 version of Toney. James is completely shot and he will not motivate himself greatly for a fight like this. If he continues to fight this year, I see him getting worn down and stopped by a live B level fighter.

Perhaps the people emphatically picking Toney are forgetting that he was lucky to get the decision over Danny Batchelder the last time he fought- which was over a year ago. Mesi has fought weak competition in his comeback, but at least he's dominated all of it. Toney is extremely old, inactive, fat as mud and probably won't risk 'roiding himself up again. I like Mesi by UD, probably just badly outworks Toney.

Jirov beat Mesi into semi-retriement so Toney should finish the job. Toney TKO Mesi within 11.

Exactly but he is moving up a bit to Terry Smith. Smith is no world beater but has been in with Mc Cline and Brock and won some rounds n the process. Smith is definetly better than the stiffs he's faced since Jirov. I am not saying that Toney can't still beat Mesi but it is about a 50-50 fight. Toney barely beat a mediocre fighter his last time out.
Looks like Toney is shaping up as a 2:1 favorite on this poll.

Toney may not have realized that his advantage in taking steroids was nullified by Danny's taking steroids.

Toney is more finished than Mesi is. Going the distance and getting a gift versus Danny Batchelder says very little. Mesi has started to look stronger and stronger in his comeback fights. Mesi fights a disciplined fight and easily outpoints Toney with his jab and movement.
