The once 10-time World Boxing Champion turned World Renouned Promoter, who some say at one point in his career ducked the Left Hook of former WBA Welterweight Champion James 'The Mighty Quinn' Page regarding unifying the WBC & WBA titles they both owned at one time, just MAY be interested in giving Page another shot at a title in the coming future, should GBP be where Page lands if hes still 'Mighty'. Page recently sparred 10 rounds with Don King hopeful and 2007 National Golden Gloves Quarter Finalist, Junior Middlweight Omar Henry (12-0-10KOs), preparing Henry for his upcoming fight against Tyrone Selders 6/23/12. Lol, it's all good, MOST will have #Neg to say....it's up to #TeamPage to prove naysayers wronG....but 2001 was the last gig, if thaTz wut u wanna call it. Tryna make #HiStory now...
THIS is why Ring didn't want to have the p4p #1 spot filled. Ain't nobody p4p #1 until they fight James Page, brother.
James was a powerful welterweight indeed, but his chin is on the soft side. However, his win over Jose Luis Lopez can't be discounted. He sure could've given Oscar a good fight, not sure if he stands a change to win though.
Which Page are we getting? The one that went life and death with Jose Luis Lopez who at the time was considered a more feared puncher than Oscar or Tito. Or the one that looked like **** vs Six Heads? He didnt look near as fast as when he fought Lopez. I mean if theres guys like Bailey doin it more power to them, but Page is still from an era even before Bailey! I mean he needs to be doin somethin next to miraculous to where he's in great shape and be fighting at the level he was in his prime to be taken seriously. Looking forward to watching him fight I hope he's not the same cocky bragger who bragged about decking Oscar then gets ko'd by Lewis! What is he 154-160 now?
