Who do you guys like in this one had it happened? was scott to green for conteh?

James Scotts manager Murray Gaby said "I was attempting to get an over the weight match with John Conteh", but in reality they were trying to hype scotts reputation into conteh giving scott a title shot, similiar to the way archie self promoted himself into a title shot vs marciano.

    Who do you like?

I think Conteh is a good enough boxer to stay away from Scott's bombs early. And use his technique later to take a close decision win. Would be close though.

I tend to think Scott was over rated. He had a big upset win over Gregory who was a Bowe like underachiever. He was a tough, mauling sort of guy but not the huge puncher the media made him out to be. He was good copy and an interesting story. Fighting at Rahway built up some drama. However he got his ass handed to him by a tough but not great Bull Martin and then easily beat by the then Dwight Braxton and then faded away.

Anyone know what happened to him? I forgot.

He got out of prison within the last couple of years, so I've heard.

Conteh should win this fight, but if he were to break his mitts on Scott`s head he would be in for a long night though. Also, who knows just how he would have reacted to fighting in front of a whole lot of convicts cheering on their man Scott... Eddie Mustafa admitted to being intimidated by it to an extent and it affected his performance, perhaps the same might have happened to Conteh? Ya never know....

Conteh, cagey Veteran British lt Heavy Champ Bunny Johnson Boxed well against Scott in the early going until worn down, Bunny had none of Venomous precision of Conteh at his best, Barring hand problems Conteh would Matador Scott quite clearly.
