James Tillis/Muhammad Ali - Similarities?

    I just watched Tillis vs. Tyson and was noticing similarities in Tillis/Ali styles.

    Tillis obviously studied Ali's mobility as you can see him "dancing" and snapping the jab, very similar to Ali (but without the amazing hand speed).

    Obviously, both trained with Dundee, so I'm sure that is part of the equation.

    What are your thoughts?

    Both had strong jabs, of course James not on the level of Muhammad.Tillis also was a decent mover with good speed and a decent punch, again not on Ali's level.

    don't laugh too much, but i always thought he was the closest clue to how a prime tyson vs a 1970's ali would have gone.

    James Movement was probably best seen in the Weaver and Shavers fights, after that the thomas defeat and witherspoon 1st round blow-out sent James to `Trialhorseville, he seemed happy to just drift along, and into the heavyweight sideings,
