Boxers who go fight in MMA should have a rematch clause, saying that the rematch will be in a boxing ring. As much as Couture will dominate him, he'd dominate couture in boxing... Two are way too different...

Is there actually one boxer which was able to do the transition? Can't become a force in MMA in 9 months after a lifetime of boxing...

 

I think Old Man Ray Mercer knocked out a top MMA guy in like 3 seconds.

 

He fights the best? Why is he fighting in UFC then?

 

Sad to see a boxer like Mercer losing to someone like Kimbo from a choke... Boxers can't deal with grapplers, their boxing holding simply doesn't measure up and they're not trained counter takedowns, elbows, knee strikes, foot shots (guy crushing guy's feet during hold...), let alone resisting armbars, leg locks, ankle locks, or any type of ground work...

 

The problem is that the know-nothing mainstream media is promoting this farce as "settling the boxing versus MMA" debate. How it settles anything when Toney is going into the other sport's arena under their rules, I don't know.

If Toney gets his ass kicked, it's just one more black eye (pun intended) for boxing. Toney has looked so bad in boxing for the last few years that this UFC thing is one desperate last grab for fame and fortune.

 

Dumbf*ck, can you only find the best fighter in boxing? Isn't Couture one of the best (if not the best) fighter in his division?

Toney is being used as a puppet by Dana White so White can claim superiority over the sport he was a failure in.

I think Toney knows this, but he is desperate so he doesn't care.

 

Jeremy Williams is currently undefeated in mma with 5 fights. Then again, he had wrestling background too.

Hope Toney has been training that sprawl and basic ground defense, as well as leg kicks defense.

 

Toney has been a stand-up fighter throughout his career. He's stood in with everybody put in front of him. That's why he has a few losses. Also why he has near-universal respect; something you can't say about PBF.

 

No, Couture is nowhere near the best in his division. Uneducated.

Whilst not actually a fan of Toney (hard to get past his big mouth and delusions) I hope he is able to defeat Couture on saturday. But as I've said before I doubt it. I want to be wrong but I fear he's going to be humiliated and beaten up quite badly. Unless he taps as soon as Couture mounts him.
