Is being English champion by his 8th fight, fighting for the IBO title in his 11th fight, European champion in his 16th fight, KOing the WBC, WBA (and it would have been the IBF if it weren't for Bell being stripped), Ring and linear cruiserweight champion in his own back yard after only 21 fights then adding the WBO belt in a fight he didn't need to take considered nothing to you?
Toney 2008 would give haye all he want's.2003 toney wins by decision, much to slick for haye.but if it were a big mouth contest it would be a draw.
How exactly has Haye managed to get 11 votes but not even one comment to explain why? Come on Haye fans, if you vote then also have the courage of your convictions and say why you think so!!
Haye has only Mormeck in his resume. Haye has done nothing at heavyweight except talk. We do not know how he will do against top ten heavyweight contender and he will be a big underdog against Waldo. That is the reality, the rest is wishful thinking by Haye fanatics.
Toney by 10th round TKO in a very entertaining fight in which Haye takes most of the early rounds by getting off first, but gassing about midway through and becoming a sitting duck for that precision counter punching by the end.
james was alot more polished & fundamentally sound as a all around fighter. his defense & chin was "impregnable" and i dont even think hayes best shot could fold him. toney by UD or lights out late.
Okay, but Matt didn't mention Klitschko or the heavyweight division once. Plus this thread is about a potential fight at a division below. He was responding to the daft notion that Haye 'has not done a darn thing'. On to the the thread... I think Toney would be a bad fight for Haye style wise. Haye would build up an early lead whack Toney wherever he could. Once Haye tired, and I believe he would, Toney wuld find the range and land with enough regularity to trouble and perhaps stop Haye late.
