I totally agree, it's pathetic that boxers can actually get away with this time and time again, and then a year down the line it often seems to be brushed under the carpet and people would rather pretend that it didn't happen or that it's not important anymore! Nowadays can you imagine a convicted drugs cheat in athletics getting into an equivalent HOF?! No way! :-( It's all a bit corrupt, it seems clear to me that fighters that are big names that can generate interest and money get forgiven far too easily, if anything, they should be the ones setting a good example...
Toney would and shall make the Hall of Fame, if your going to not put him in, then Holyfield doesn't deserve a place either. Toney was nursing an injury for his shoulder which required a Cortisone shot, if you want to keep him out of the Boxing Hall of Fame for that, then other boxers need to be looked at as well. One look at Toney and you can tell steroids enhanced nothing about his boxing ability, if anything it made him fatter and more sluggish.
